What are the main events for today?

March 04, 2025 at 07:22AM
Today we don’t have much on the agenda in terms of data releases with just the Eurozone Unemployment rate as the highlight. The focus today will be on tariffs headlines as they go into effect for Canada, Mexico and China. The markets will be on the lookout for potential retaliations or, hopefully, for positive resolutions.

Late in the evening, we will also have Trump addressing Congress for the first time since returning to the White House. Presidents traditionally use this speech to advance their agenda and
push for new legislation, while also claiming credit for perceived
successes. He’s scheduled to speak at 21:00 ET which is 02:00 GMT for us Europeans.
