A 40-year-old British national sitting in Seat 11A reportedly walked away from the Air India crash today. I’m skeptical given that it went down in a huge fireball but it’s a slice of potential good news on a very tragic day.
Footage shows him literally walking away from the crash site with only cuts and bruises.
He is reported to be Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, a 40-year-old British national who was on the flight to London from Ahmedabad, India. The plane crashed just seconds after takeoff after the pilot declared ‘mayday’. Footage shows that the plane had its flaps up, which is unusual.
“There was a huge bang just seconds after takeoff. I ran through smoke and fire,” local reports have him saying after he was taken to hospital. Unfortunately, he was seated near his brother, who is missing.
Again, this is really hard to believe but supposedly he still had his boarding pass in his pocket.
Unfortunately, we’ve also learned that six students staying in a medical hostile on the ground were killed along with the 242 people on board.
