Treas. Sec Bessent is on the wires now saying:

We are at the 1-yard line on a Ukraine minerals deal

Will they fumble or get over the line.

Trump:

Does not see any problem in sending US troops as peacemakers in Ukraine.

Will meet with Zelenskiy this week or next to sign minerals deal

He will meet with Putin at some point

Russia might have a problem with the troop that but the pendulum is swinging the other way.

France’s Macron (who is in Washington and meeting with the President) says:

Our objective is to build a solid long lasting peace in Ukraine

EUrope is willing to step up to be a stronger partner, do more for defense
